(individuals that feel like
they need more practice
before playing with our

Alive N Kicking-An exercise
group for those that are
more limber and are active.
No registration is
required.
Chair Movers-Exercise class
designed for those who have
difficulty walking or
standing and a great place
for new comers to start. No
registration is required.
Unwind-n-Go Therapy-Evening
exercise class designed for
those who work and need to
relax before going home. No
Registration is required.
Knitting-This group has
recently learned how to
knit. They bring their own
personal projects and
socialize. Just show up.
Basketmaking-This group
meets to make baskets and
already know the art. They
also enjoy socializing and
would like for anyone to
join them. No registration
is required.
Book Club-This group meets
once a month, just drop by
prior to the meeting to pick
up the book selection.
Woodcarving-This group makes
beautiful carvings. If you
are interested in learning
how to carve, please call
the Sr. Center.
Canasta-This group plays
Hand and Foot Canasta. No
registration is required.
Dancing For Fun-This group
practices their ballroom
dance skills. Bring your
partner, come practice and
have some fun!
Inky Fingers-This stamping
group works on their
individual projects, just
bring your stamps and show
up!
Computer Club-Have any kind
of computer question, just
show up at the Information
Technology Lab at the
Commons to get your
questions answered.
Other classes-We have other
classes such as ballroom
dancing, line dancing,
beginning basketweaving,
beginning and advanced
stained glass, sewing and
calligraphy that are all
based on a series of
classes. Watch the

Auditions Uwharrie Players: "Children of Eden"
The Uwharrie Players
announce auditions
for "Children of Eden", a
full-scale production with
live orchestra. The show
dates are July 25, 26, 27 &
31, and August 1 & 2,
2008.
This is an open audition
call for a very large cast,
including some children
(children must be of age 8-9
years old and going into 3rd
Grade in fall of 2008),
teens, young adults, adults
and seniors. For your
audition, please prepare 16-
32 bars of a song and bring
sheet music in the
appropriate key. An
accompanist will be
provided. No a capella
singing. Everyone in the
show must sing, as there are
many roles with solos and
chorus singers. There is
also a need for dancers.
Dress for comfort, as there
will be a short dance
combination taught. You may
be asked to read and sing
from the script. Please
bring to auditions a list of
known and possible conflicts
from May 27 - August 2.
