The Locust Police Department consists of eleven officers — five full-time and six reserves. The department provides police protection and assists with all EMS and Fire emergencies within the city. All officers are active in the Community Policing Effort. The City of Locust has twenty-four hour police protection with an average response time under seven minutes.
